Salma Hayek Is Sporting A New Chest Tattoo For The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard

Weve known for a while now that Salma Hayek would be returning to The Hitmans Bodyguard universe for the impending sequel, and this week the actress gave us a fun glimpse at her character in the new movie, Sonia Kincaid. But we dont just get to see the actress; instead, we also get a look at her tattoo for the movie.

Lest you think this were Salma Hayeks personal tattoo, the actress makes it very clear in her sneak peek at the new look that this isnt her own body adornment.

There are a few locations on a womans body where she would be able to hide a secret tattoo, but for The Hitmans Wifes Bodyguard, its going directly on her breast. The tattoo belonging to her character Sonia Kincaid looks to be a bird of prey.

The image has been exceedingly popular on Instagram, where it has racked up more than 354 thousand likes.

In the 2017 movie, Salma Hayek also played Sonia Kincaid, who happens to be the wife of Samuel L. Jacksons Darius Kincaid. Sonia is a major catalyst in the first movie, as Darius only agrees to testify as part of a deal that will allow his wife to be released from prison. She ultimately -- and spoiler -- gets out of prison at the end of the movie, assumedly leading to a series of events that will allow a sequel to make sense.

In the upcoming The Hitmans Wifes Bodyguard, the new movie will again bring back the original cast members, as well as add a few new faces for a story that will be set in the Amalfi coast. (Because if you are doing a sequel, why not set it in a beautiful place?) Antonio Banderas, Frank Grillo, Morgan Freeman and Tom Hopper have all joined the franchise for the new movie.

Other filming locations include Bulgaria and Croatia for the new sequel.

The Hitmans Wifes Bodyguard was confirmed to be filming by Samuel L. Jackson and Ryan Reynolds earlier this spring and a few weeks later, Ryan Reynolds also mentioned he had wrapped on the flick.

Salma Hayek has also shared other stuff from the set of The Hitmans Wifes Bodyguard.

Unfortunately, theres still going to be a little bit of time for the flick to undergo the editing process. The movie isnt slated for release until 2020, but while we wait, be sure to take a look at our full 2019 movies schedule.

You can also catch Ryan Reynolds, or at least his voice, coming up in Detective Pikachu, which hits theaters in May. Samuel L. Jackson will next star in the big summer release Shaft, unless he pops up in Avengers: Endgame, which kicks off it's preview night tonight. And Salma Hayek can currently be seen in Drunk Parents.

MoviePass Goes Month To Month As Annual Plans Are Cancelled

There's been a lot in the news lately about MoviePass as the ticket subscription service makes numerous changes to its plan. After briefly running out of money one night last month, the service has been trying to find a balance between being affordable yet sustainable. The service has made a few changes to its original plan of unlimited movies for a monthly fee, but annual subscribers have largely escaped these changes. Now, the service is limiting users to three movies per month, and the change has officially reached yearly subscribers.

In a statement MoviePass released to its customers on Friday night, the ticket subscription service is making changes to its plan that will affect all users. Annual subscription users are now limited to three movies a month, whereas before Friday nights announcement these users had unlimited movies per month. Additionally, should a user want to see beyond three films, they will receive up to a $5.00 discount on their ticket. MoviePass wrote that it believes that it is" a positive change in the right direction," and that it "captures the needs and desires" of its user base.

For any users who weren't happy with the new plan, MoviePass offered them a way out. The service will give annual users the option of canceling their subscription, and they will receive a prorated refund. Canceling now also prevents users from automatically being renewed for another nine months once their initial subscription is over. The offer is valid until August 31.

This is the latest change that MoviePass has made to its platform in order to build a more sustainable business model. On August 23, it announced that users had up to nine movies to choose from daily. The service has been limiting access to bigger releases, such as preventing users from seeing Mission: Impossible - Fallout and Crazy Rich Asians on opening weekend.

Previously, MoviePass attempted to change its subscription price to $14.95 a month but then slide it back down to $9.95. The service has been trying to settle on a new formula after it had to borrow $6.2 million last month. Competition in the ticket subscription space has been heating up this summer with AMC Stubs A-List and Sinemia, so it'll be interesting to see how many annual users stick with MoviePass following the change. There's been an increase in theater attendance this summer and one has to wonder who much of that is due to these new services.

Could Steven Spielberg's DC Movie Connect To Wonder Woman?

It finally happened, folks. After years of wondering if Steven Spielberg would ever get his hands on a comic book property, the Ready Player One director has decided to join the DC world. The legendary filmmaker is now involved in developing a Blackhawk movie for DC, which will take him all the way back to the Golden Age of comic book stories. We still don't know much about what Blackhawk will look like in its final form, but information that surfaced last year has us wondering if it could potentially link to Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman.

To get a better sense of what we're looking at here, we need to circle back to last year in the leadup to the release of Wonder Woman. Specifically, we need to look at one specific post made by Sameer actor Said Taghmaoui in which he placed a photo of himself in Wonder Woman side-by-side with Blackhawk from the comics. Check it out, below.

Though that photo seemed to imply a specific connection between Sameer and Blackhawk, Wonder Woman never formally mined the idea for story material. That said, the similarities between a Sameer and Blackhawk are hard to ignore. Both are skilled spies/soldiers known for conducting clandestine operations in the early portion of the 20th century, and they even share strong visual similarities with each other. Moreover, the decision to share that photo (featuring a decidedly deep cut character, no less) ahead of the release of Wonder Woman seems like a potential indication of a more profound connection to the Blackhawk squadron than we previously realized (even if Wonder Woman never addressed it).

In terms of narrative significance, there's plenty of room for DC to make this work. Wonder Woman takes place in WWI, and Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) disappeared for a century to mourn the death of Steve Trevor (Chris Pine). That said, the wars didn't end with her disappearance, so there's quite a bit of room to keep exploring how soldiers like Sameer, Charlie (Ewan Bremner), or Chief (Eugene Brave Rock) continued to fight. With Steven Spielberg's Blackhawk potentially gearing up to take on WWII as its setting (which would match the bulk of the comics), the film could represent the next logical step from where Wonder Woman left off.

Stylistically speaking, it would also make quite a bit of sense for Steven Spielberg's Blackhawk movie to share some connections with Wonder Woman. Patty Jenkins seemingly borrowed quite a bit of DNA from Spielberg's own work on films like Raiders of the Lost Ark in the creation of a swashbuckling period piece full of action and comedy. The Wonder Woman corner of the DCEU already has Spielberg's fingerprints all over it, so bridging that gap likely wouldn't be too difficult.

Of course, with all of that said, we still have no idea of Steven Spielberg's Blackhawk movie will actually connect to Wonder Woman when all is said and done.Though the DCEU will continue to expand with the upcoming releases of films like James Wan's Aquaman, David F. Sandberg's Shazam!, and Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman 2, Warner Bros. is also in the process of developing standalone stories like Todd Phillips' Joker movie. The Blackhawk film could fall under either of these banners, so we will have to wait and see.
